Marbella is worldfamous as a luxury coastal city, but has much more to offer.

Marbella's coastline measures 27 kilometres. Here you can find different urbanizations and small town centers. Marbella centre has a lovely boulevard (Paseo Maritimo), for a walk in the sun or enjoy a nice terrace. Here are sandy beaches. The Oldtown has tiny streets and squares, most known sqaure is the Orange Square "Plaza de los Naranjos".
Puerto Banus has name and fame for it's port with luxury yachts. The area between Marbella Centre and Puerto Banus is official named the Golden Mile (Milla de Oro).
San Pedro is a typical Spanih town with little international influence. Walking or bycycling from San Pedro via Puerto Banus to Marbella centre, along the sea, is a 12km trip.

Shopping is possible in these centres, besides that there is a large shopping mall outiside the city center, named La Canada. Here you will find almost 300 shops and boutiques. La Canada opens Monday to Saturday from 10.00 to 22.00. In july and august the shops are also open on Sundays.

Other known areas are Elviria adn Los Monteros with their beautiful beaches and chuiringuitos (beachrestaurants). Cabopino, Las Chapas, Rio Real and Nueva Andalucia are good areas for overseas buyers.

Marbella counts 3 ports: Puerto Banus is most famous. Second is the "Puerto Deportivo" in the centre. Last, but not least fishermansport Bajondillo, that will be converted in the next years into a port for mid size cruise ships. Look at the video about the new port.

Most beatufil beaches are in Elviria, Los Monteros, Centre and Golden Mile. You can play golf in Marbella on a number of spectacular golfcourses. We name a few: Cabopino Golf, Rio Real Golf, Santa Clara Golf (in Los Monteros), Monte Paraiso (above the centre), Guadalmina Golf, Los Naranjos Golf, Aloha Golf, Las Brisas, La Quinta are all 18 holes cources. In Elviria is 9 holes Greenlife Golf.

Marbella is partly flat and has some low mountains. City centre, Puerto Banus and Nueva Andalucia are fairly flat. Other areas have little hillclimbs, except Los Altos de Los Monteros which is high up the hill

Marbella borders with Mijas, Ojen, Benahavis, Estepona.

Marbella centre is aproximately 50 km to the internationale airport of Malaga and 60km to Malaga city.

Mijas is a wide and varied area on the Costa del Sol.

Within the Malaga province Mijas is the town with the largest surface. Also the variety of areas is big. The small villages belonging to Mijas townhall are spread over a reasonable distance. Mijas Pueblo lies some 7km from the coast, in the mountains. Guarantee for good views. The village of Mijas is a typical Spanish village with a number of terraces, bars and shops. During daytime it is a real turistic attraction, at nighttime it changes and the Spanish people live on the streets. The surroundings are villa areas. Mijas Pueblo is the ony village that has no border with the sea.

El Faro is a nice ubanisation with mostly bungalows, built in the seventies and eighties. Originally there were mainly Germans living here and you still notice that in the mainainance of public areas and green zones in El Faro. Nowadays the audience has become more international, and some apartments have been buitl around.There is a small beach, mini supermarket and a few restaurants. Nearest larger town is Fuengirola (2km) or La Cala (5km).

La Cala de Mijas is an international spot on the coast, but at the same time a nice little village that still is very Spanish. A few golfcourses inland surrounded by apartements. Torrenueva is a villa area right next to La Cala de Mijas. Shops, supermarkets and restaurants are all over La Cala.

In Riviera del Sol lies the wellknown Miraflores golfcourse. Here you see many apartments, villas and townhouses. An international area directly connected with Calahonda and only 2km from La Cala de Mijas.

Calahonda was built in the seventies by a Spanish and Dutch promotor. Over the last 40 years Calahonda has grown and grown. As this is on a hill, you can be sure f good views on most locations. Calahonda has apartments and villas. Three commercial centers with supermarkets, shops, restaurants etc.

Mijas Costa is nowadays a name for all coastal ares of Mijas as El Faro, La Cala, Riviera and Calahonda.

Mijas Golf is a ver green area. Around the 18 hole golfcourse are 2 hotel, lots of beautiful apartments and villas. Most villas enjoy priacy and views. Mijas GOlf is 3km from the coast and the nearest town is Fuengirola.

Benahavis is wellknown because of its gastronomy and its beautiful location in the mountains.

Though the borders of Benahavis almost reacht the coast, the village itself is 7km inland.

Many urbanisations, built around a number of golfcourses, belong to this town. Benahvis is a pittoresque little town with many, many excellent restaurants. There is only one good road leading to the village, a flat mountain road. Though the village is surrounded with mountains it reaches only a height of .... meters. Amenities as banks, shops, supermarkets etc are not only in the village but also in the urbanisations.

A large number of golfcourses as Los Arqueros, Atalaya golf, Flamingos golf, Monte Mayor, El Higueral. Around thes golfcourses you see beautiful apartments and luxury villas. The area is flat and a little hilly, therefor the views are very nive from a lot of places. Nearest beaches are Estepona and San Pedro.

Benahavis borders with Marbella, Estepona, Ojen, Paruata.

Benahavis lies aprox 65 km from the international airport of Malaga.

Estepona; Summerspot for beachlovers, in winter the typical Spanish village.

Just like Marbella the coats of Estepona stretches over a wide area of some 20 kilometers. A number of urbanisations is spread over this area. Estepona's centre is a typical Spanish town with a nice little port. Terraces all over, same as shops, supermarkets etc.

The Estepona beaches are varied; wide sandy beaches at the centre, further away the beaches are smaller with some rocks here and there. Along the coastline some beautiful apartments have been built this century.

Golfers can play on Estepona Golf or El Paraiso. Due to its wide area and the good acces there is much to discover in and around Estepona.
Estepona's coastline is fairly flat. A bit more inland, it goes slowly uphill, which gives nice views from these locations.
